Thanks - interesting tips. Good idea to taste red before white although that's only really relevant at the Graves and Pessac-Leognan UGC tasting, and perhaps at the Cercle de Rive Droite. And Haut Brion as you say...

Great stuff Gavin! Two more: in Bordeaux, taste red before white -- that's how they do it at Haut-Brion! And Sauternes always has the best back vintages & open bottles to sample at the luncheon.

This is great information, if I can add one more tip to your top 10: Don't plan on solely relying on your GPS to guide you. Invest in some maps and plan your routes ahead of tie.
